Wellington Gifts Cycling Enthusiasts with Maps
Cycling enthusiasts in Wellington have much to rejoice about! The Greater Wellington Regional Council has recently released the New Regional Cycling Maps which would be helpful for cyclists in choosing routes that would be perfect for what they need and what they prefer. The maps give out various information such as sealed and unsealed off-road paths, cycle lanes on-road, speed limits higher than 50 kph, busy roads and highways and many more. The colour coding of the maps, make it easier for cyclists to understand and get to the needed information. The best news about these maps is that they are absolutely free and cyclists in Wellington can just grab a copy from various bike shops, information centres and at the reception of Greater Wellington Regional Council office in Wakefield Street. Another way to get a hold of these helpful maps is by logging on to journeyplanner.org.nz/routing/moremaps.
It would be a great idea for other communities to follow the lead of Wellington and provide similar helpful maps to bikers. These maps speak much about the love of Wellington for cycling. Get more information about these maps. Read the whole article here!
